Being a fan of Disney/Nickelodeon shows ‘back in the day’ like Lizzie McGuire, Even Stevens, and All That. This panel tucked into my guilty pleasure of children’s TV programs. Phineas and Ferb is an animated series on the Disney channel about the hijinks of the title characters Phineas and Ferb, as well as their sister Candice and Perry The Platypus (Agent P).

This was the first panel I went to that was purely targeted at kids, it was cute to see a room full of star stuck and enthusiastic kids. But the funny thing is, their behaviour didn’t differ too much from the star struck and enthusiastic adults in the other panels I attended.
Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension is the first film from the show, which will air straight to television. The music video for “Kick It Up A Notch” was premiered during the panel which features Slash (Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver)!
Unfortunately Slash was not at the panel, but most of the core cast was including Vincent Martella (Phineus), Ashley Tisdale (Candice), Dee Bradley Baker (Agent P), Olivia Olson (Vanessa) as well as director/writer Dan Povenmire and writer Swampy Marsh.

The show has been airing since 2007, but Comic Con marked the first time that co-stars Ashley & Olivia had actually met! which gives you some insight into the recording process.
Interesting to find out that Olivia was the little girl from the film Love Actually who sang “All I Want For Christmas Is You” and in the film was the love interest of co-star Thomas Sangster who voices Ferb.

The end of the panel marked the first time where I was given goodies related to the panel without having to make an effort on the floor or redeeming a ticket given out at a panel at the Fulfilment room (pick up your free stuff in a 'special' room). In this case, it was Phineas and Ferb badges and which marked my survival and better strategy of Day 2 of Comic Con.
