When: November to December 2011
Where: Cockatoo Island, Sydney, NSW, Australia
Unlike any event I’ve ever been to, or what I could have imagined. The Outpost Project is a unique exhibition of urban art hosted on the ugly yet beautiful, Cockatoo Island in Sydney.

Cockatoo Island, is in fact an island that can be accessed by the public using Sydney Ferries or water taxis.

Practically the entire island was transformed to showcase all facets of urban art on a enormous scale.
Kid Zoom recreated his childhood home in Perth inside a warehouse:

Next by T-World consisted of 100s of t-shirts hung overhead from a variety of major and independent brands including Threadless and Johnny Cupcakes. While featuring along the ‘walls’ dozens of interviews with infamous t-shirt lovers and haters.

Made entirely out of cups courtesy of Cuprock.

I had to see the art/cups up close which involved climbing up many stairs to get to the tennis court where these cups were housed.

The Oi You! Collection featured several Banksy artworks.

This was the result of the Secret Wars which is a live art battle.

This is what happens when you trespass into the Artery.

More from the Outpost Project including Beastman, Vexta and Numskull.
