Fifties Fair 2012

Fifties Fair DanceOn Sunday (August 26 2012), I stepped back in time when I attended my first ever Fifties Fair, an annual event which celebrates the fabulousness of the Fifties!

Getting there involved catching the train to Turramurra station, and then from there catching a courtesy shuttle to the Rose Seidler House. This year marked the first year the Fifties Fair had moved to tickets being purchased solely online, however when arriving they did have a handful of tickets to purchase at the door. Despite the change to online ticketing, the property and event was packed with attendees even thought I arrived early!

Here’s just a teaser of my day at the Fifties Fair with more coverage to come soon.

There are obviously a lot of Fifties fans and admirers who dedicate their time and money to create authentic outfits, learn the moves as well as put up with the pain for creating some dramatic hair styles!

Thanks to the fantastic Historic Houses Trust PR Team who organised a media pass for me and I look forward to next year’s event!
