Review: Gillette Venus and Olay Razor

Back in September, Gillette Venus and Olay held a summer inspired fashion show as part of the Summer of Skirts campaign to encourage ladies to ditch the pants and switch to skirts and dresses to show off some leg for Summer. Not only did we get to catch the fashion show, but we were also able to have our very own Gillette Venus and Olay razor to take home.

Gillette Venus and Olay Razor with Moisture Bars (5)

What makes the Gillette Venus and Olay razor stand out from other razors on the market is the inclusion of 2 built in moisture bars which form part of the cartridge. The 2 moisture bars actually remind me of super durable soap attached at opposite ends.

With the moisture bars, it proves to be a really smooth shave without having to use shaving cream.  But you are most likely still need to use a moisturising lotion pre or post shave.

A word of advice, do not ‘accidentally’ leave your razor at the bottom of your shower or around water when not in use, it makes the moisture bars go a bit gooey and looks like it had a rough night. Best advice is to use the shower caddy with a built-in suction cup included with the razor.

My favourite method for hair removal is actually waxing however, shaving is fantastic for those stubborn stray hairs, during ‘lady time’ and of course for those unprepared emergencies (the definition of a first world problem). The fact that the Gillette Venus and Olay razor is so smooth and easy – I actually find myself reaching for the razor more!
