2012 has been a massive year both blogging wise and my personal life – so focusing on the positive which is pretty much my blogging life, which has seen a massive change in 2012 and growth. Since becoming ‘PR friendly’ this has led to some amazing opportunities, meeting amazing people, pushed me outside my comfort zone (all in a good way) – and most importantly, the realisation that blogging is so much more than a hobby to document my interests, it also makes me happy (awww).
To start off 2013, I thought the best way was to thank YOU as well as a not too deep reflection of my blogging year.
My Personal Highlights:
I had the endurance to cover a whopping 16 fashion shows in a mere 2 days during Show Weekend, I also managed to have an interview with Alex Perry as well as meet Project Runway Australia’s Season 3 Winner, Dylan Cooper. I also got to cover the Priceline Sisterhood Clubhouse tour with and interview featuring Priceline’s Make-Up Artist Jessica Bell.
It is very exciting to view the collections from designers where you have absolutely no clue about their vision or aesthetic – and even more exciting when you discover something you love. I was lucky to attend Australian Graduates Fashion Week, UTS Graduate Fashion Show and the Raffles Graduate Fashion Show.
Extremely lucky and fortunate to be able to cover ALL of the major geek conventions in Sydney:
I was looking forward to seeing this musical for a long time – so I was incredibly happy that it surpassed my pre-existing expectations.
Guy Sebastian performed – Enough said.
Thank You to:
- The publicists I have had the opportunity to work with for embracing me and my blog – as well as giving me opportunities that I did not even know existed last year.
- The bloggers/writers who are up for a chat both in ‘real life’ as well as online – ranging from the frivolous but fun conversations, valued advice and conversations about the meaning of life – I really enjoy it all. And of course the support for my blog.
- Most importantly, a massive thank you to all my readers that have taken the time to visit my blog often and not-so-often as well as those who Tweet, Facebook, comment and email me. It really means a lot for you to take the time to communicate and learn a bit about yourselves.
Looking forward to a bigger & better 2013!
