This is the first in a lot of posts to come (there were 16 designers!) covering Fashion Palette, with my 'traditional' overview/favourites post being saved for last.
Making their Fashion Palette debut Two Folded, a Sydney based label showcased their upcoming Spring/Summer collection for 2013/14.
I was already very aware of one of their pieces courtesy of Sydney Fashion Blogger who sported the pastel blue pants with slits, and was sitting a mere 4 seats away from me (yes, I counted).
Two Folded is a ready-to-wear label, which I initially fell in love with… thanks to the gorgeous colour palette of pastel blue, cream, and white. With these light and feminine colours being contrasted with what I assume is to be black pleather.
But then orange happened and I became confused… much like Sophia from My Kitchen Rules. I mean "is it a custard? Is it an omelette? I just don't know" (I am obsessed with MKR, sorry). My confusion was because as much as I loved the colour palette initially, for me orange is a polarising colour, which is a nice way of saying I personally am not a fan. Fortunately for Two Folded, it actually worked to have the bright pop of colour. Unfortunately, despite it ‘working’ for the collection, it still did not change my prejudice against orange. Maybe if it bought me flowers once in awhile, I might change my mind…
The collection will not be available for purchase until August. There does not seem to be confirmation of stockists yet, but it seems like the style that would perfectly be at home at stores like General Pants, Glue and the Basement at Myer.
Until then… enjoy!
