Back in May, Lush held their first ever Blogger Event. Since then I’ve made no secret of my conversion to being a Lushie. So now they’re pretty much preaching to the converted.
This time round it was for Lush’s Cruelty Free Kisses campaign held in the QVB, Sydney… now the date of that has long gone (yes, I’m playing blogging catch up in case you couldn’t tell). But the sentiment can last all year round.
The timing of the campaign was to tie in with International Kissing Day (July 6)… which is pretty much like Valentine’s Day round 2 for us single ladies which doesn’t make me feel so bad about how long it’s taken for me to post this!
So naturally, they were pimping out their lip products in the most ethical way possible. Proving that you can be a beauty lover AND ethical consumer from all aspects of lipcare to toothpaste! You can find out more information about animal testing from Humane Research Australia.
Thanks to Lush, I am now more inclined to be a good beauty citizen, while I haven’t had the full conversion it is awesome to feel guilt-free using Lush products as well as being better educated for future purchases.
We were able to create our very own Mint Julips Lip Scrub, which included labeling the jar! Yes, I oddly found the labeling quite exciting.
As per 'tradition' here is the token 'food porn' shot... vegetarian style.
Being 'super important' we were gifted a goodie bag. My fave picks from it were the Toothy Tabs, which is toothpaste in tablet form mainly because I enjoy the novelty and their Lipstick in "Passionate" which is really pigmented = awesome!
The boring stuff: I covered this event because I wanted to.
